What will my hide look like?
All of the images on our website are of specific cowhides located in our warehouse. The hide you choose will be the exact hide you will receive, and not a close match or an "almost look-a-like". Since every hide is so unique in size, color hues, hair length, patterns, and shape, your hide will be a one-of-kind center piece for your home! It is an important endeavor and a labor of love to make this possible, but we want you to be happy with your choice and know what you get!
How long will my hide last?
Your new hide will last a lifetime if cared for properly. Hair-on-Hides are natural products and like everything else will wear over time in high traffic area, therefore you may want to rotate your hide every 3-6 months making sure not to place it in direct sunlight.
How long does it take for my hide to ship?
All of our hides are kept in stock and will usually ship within 24 hrs of your order placement and payment. UPS will deliver your one-of-a-kind rug to your door within 1-5 business day depending on where you live. Since we are located on the East Coast, deliveries to the East Coast will be the fastest. We work very hard Monday - Friday, but days that start with an "S" (Saturday & Sunday) are blocked out for our friends and families. Orders will not ship these days.
Where does my hide come from?
Your hides are hand selected from choice eco-friendly Brazilian tanneries.
I didn't see a hide I like. Do you have more options in stock?
We are constantly adding to inventory to our store. If you didn't see something you like, come and check back in with us at a later date. There is a good chance we will have added something you will like.
All of the hides we offer on our website are new, unused, and uncut, therefore we can not offer samples of our hides. Instead we give you high resolution and zoom-able pictures. This is a very useful tool as you select your one-of-a-kind hide.
How much is shipping?
Free within the Continental USA! An additional freight charge of $75 will be applied for orders to Alaska and/or Hawaii.
How big is each hide?
We classify our cowhides into 5 categories: S, M, L, XL, and XXL. These categories are determined by the square footage of the hide which is calculated by a measuring machine. For those who prefer square meters, just divide the square footage by 10.765.
We understand that every home is different and therefore size and shape of the hide can have a huge effect on its overall appearance in the home. To help with this we have created a grid overlay picture for every hide we sale. The squares in this grid are ~ 6 in. x 6 in. (15 cm x 15 cm). Try it out to see if you can find the perfect hide for your home!

In the mean time, please visit our return-authorization page to continue with the return of your Hair-on-Hide. Also, please remember to read the boring legal stuff as it contains important information regarding your return.
We will accept a return or exchange within 10 business days from the date of purchase. The hide must be in original condition (uncut and unmarked) and folded neatly within the original packaging. Shipping costs must be covered by the customer which can be purchased through our return-authorization. Once purchased, a shipping label will either be emailed or mailed, depending on your preference.
Once we receive your return and confirm its condition, you will be issued a credit or a replacement generally within 2-3 business days.
